Pitch Exploration "Propeller": Pretend that you are sending a propellor to fly into the sky. Trace the path it flies with your voice and copy each other.
Conversational Solfege Step 6 "Read Patterns by Echoing"- Please use the 8 "red" patterns below. Have parent read one pattern at a time, challenging the child to echo them at the same speed. Switch jobs. Change the order to mix it up (go backwards, odds, evens, etc). Feel free to add a back beat to make it fun and help maintain a steady beat! Below is music I use in class.
Conversational Solfege Step 7 "Read Familiar Patterns"- Using the familiar "red" patterns in step 6, challenge your child to read them on their own. Mix it up- take turns reading patterns (I'll read odds, you read evens, etc). Feel free to add a back beat to make it fun! Below is music I use in class.
Movement Exploration "Elf Ride"- This is a body part leading activity. Put on some of your favorite music. Place an invisible elf on your elbow, Take them on a tour of the room, leading with your elbow. Place them on a different body part (nose, hip, toe, etc) and take them on a tour. I recommend this for music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rTjJUcJNAw
