Workout Plan:
Activity Directions:
- Beat Motion "Keeping the Beat #24"- Find ways to show the beat of the music on your body. Parents copy child. Child copy parents.
- Pitch Exploration "Pathways"- Draw a path on a piece of paper or whiteboard. Trace the path with your finger. On a neutral syllable (such as "oo" or "ahhh"), make your voices get higher when the path goes up, and lower when the path goes down.
- Echo Song "Wise Old Owl"- Sing each line of the song parent echoing child. Try again with child echoing parent.
- Simple Song "Fais Dodo"- Sing together, alone, take turns singing a verse, while showing how many friends on hand.
- Movement Exploration (body part leading) "Going Fishing"- This is a body part leading activity. One person pretends to be a fisher, the others are the fish. The fisher tells the fish what he/she will catch them by. When the fisher pretends to reel in, the fish travel towards the fisher, leading with whatever body part they are caught by. Feel free to add some fund ocean sounds or music from your favorite ocean-themed movie!
- Movement for Form and Expression "Move It #3"- Have your child show you the choreographed moves to this song. Perform together.
- Arioso "Counting"- Count to 5 with your singing voice! Can you make it go up? Down? Both?
- Beat Motion "Hickory Dickory Dock"- Sing song and add movements.
- Songtale "Jennie Jenkins"- Listen to the story together and follow along. Try to sing the story together.

Lyrics-
One of these days
Look up and see
A wise old owl
Sitting in a tree
He'll look at you
And he'll look at me
Those two big eyes
They don't scare me
One of these nights
When raindrops fall
He'll give a hoot
He'll give a call - Simple Song "Fais Dodo"-

Lyrics-
Will you wear white, oh my dear, oh my dear? Will you wear white Jennie Jenkins?
I won't wear white for the color's too bright.
I'll buy me a fol-dee-rol-dee, til-dee-tol-dee, seek-a-double roll, Jennie Jenkins roll.
Will you wear red, oh my dear, oh my dear? Will you wear red Jennie Jenkins?
I won't wear red. It's the color of my head.
I'll buy me a fol-dee-rol-dee, til-dee-tol-dee, seek-a-double roll, Jennie Jenkins roll.
Will you wear blue, oh my dear, oh my dear? Will you wear blue Jennie Jenkins?
I will wear blue if your love is true.
I'll buy me a fol-dee-rol-dee, til-dee-tol-dee, seek-a-double roll, Jennie Jenkins roll.
Will you wear green, oh my dear, oh my dear? Will you wear green Jennie Jenkins?
I won't wear green. It's a shame to be seen.
I'll buy me a fol-dee-rol-dee, til-dee-tol-dee, seek-a-double roll, Jennie Jenkins roll.
Will you wear purple, oh my dear, oh my dear? Will you wear purple Jennie Jenkins?
I won't wear purple. It's the color of a turtle.
I'll buy me a fol-dee-rol-dee, til-dee-tol-dee, seek-a-double roll, Jennie Jenkins roll.
Will you wear black, oh my dear, oh my dear? Will you wear black Jennie Jenkins?
I won't wear black. It's the color of my sack.
I'll buy me a fol-dee-rol-dee, til-dee-tol-dee, seek-a-double roll, Jennie Jenkins roll.
Then what will you wear, oh my dear, oh my dear? What will you wear Jennie Jenkins?
I have nothing to wear. I can't go anywhere.
I'll buy me a fol-dee-rol-dee, til-dee-tol-dee, seek-a-double roll, Jennie Jenkins roll.
